چکیده

T HERE is some evidence1' 2 that the spatial angle between the mean QRS and T vector might serve as an important criterion for the diagnosis of ventricular hypertrophy or coronary insufficiency, although the angle was not actually measured. Recently, a method has been described' to construct and measure this angle from the conventional electrocardiogram. With this method, a vector is defined in terms of its direction in the horizontal plane (H'), its vertical angle (V0, elevation), and its magnitude. The method is simple; the measurement of a vector can be completed within three minutes or less. For some purposes, at least, it may be desirable to analyze not only the spatial angle between the mean QRS and T vector, but also the spatial orientation of the plane included by these vectors. The present report indicates the findings in exploratory studies.

The spatial QRS and T vector in 178 normal middle-aged men; body weight, height, relationship of QRS and T and preliminary standards.

From the means and standard deviations of the coordinates of the spatial QRS and T vectors in 178 normal middle-aged men, preliminary normal range limits were calculated for the total group, three positional subgroups, and three relative body weight groups. The superiority of spatial vector analysis over analysis of the scalar electrocardiogram made it possible for the first time to investigate...

Analysis of the normal and abnormal vectorcardiogram in its own reference frame.

IN COMMON vectoreardiographic practice, vector loops are recorded in three plalne projections that are perpendicular to one another (frontal, sagittal, and horizontal planes). The arbitrary choice of these planes has been derived from body axes rather than from the spatial orientation of the vectorcardiogram or the heart itself. Several investigators1'-" have proposed, therefore, to replace the...

The spatial vectorcardiogram and mean spatial ventricular gradient in normal pregnant women.

The spatial vectorcardiogram and the spatial ventricular gradient of normal subjects in the last trimester of pregnancy and in some of the same subjects following delivery have been studied. It was found that the vectorcardiograms could be divided into two groups on the basis of the form of the QRS sfi-loops, as has been previously reported for other normal subjects. In some instances records t...

Effects of tramadol on electrocardiogram, mean electrical axis and respiration in Kagani goats (Capra hircus)

The effects of tramadol on electrocardiogram (ECG), mean electrical axis and respiratory rates were studied in adult kagani goats after intramuscular administration of tramadol at 1 mg/kg b.wt. as a prelude to its clinical use as an analgesic in veterinary practice. The ECG was monitored by standard bipolar leads and discernible electrocardiographic features were observed in lead II. The normal...
